Crossdomain Solutions Private Limited, also known as PeopleWorks (the “Company”, “we”, “us”), operates a cloud-based HR and payroll platform, including PeopleWorks Mobile Apps, and the websites peopleworks.in and peopleworks.ind.in. Users include organizational customers (e.g., employers) (“Customers”) and end users (e.g., employees and site visitors). Together we refer to Customers and end users as “users” or “you”.
This Policy describes how PeopleWorks collects, uses, accesses, corrects, and discloses personal information through our websites (peopleworks.ind.in) and Mobile Apps (the “Services”). It does not cover personal information PeopleWorks processes strictly on behalf of Customers in their capacity as data controllers. Where you access the PeopleWorks web application provided by your employer, your employer’s privacy policy applies. We may modify, update, or delete personal information on a Customer’s instruction in line with our agreements.
This Policy does not apply to third-party applications or websites accessible from our Services (the “Third-Party Services”). Please review their privacy policies separately.
By using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
We collect personal information you or your organization provide voluntarily, or that is generated through your use of the PeopleWorks platform. This may include: name, nickname, birthdate, gender, nationality, job title, phone number(s), employment start date, department, employee ID/national ID, address (country, city, postcode), family status, spouse’s and dependents’ names, genders, and birthdates; bank account details (bank name, account number, branch address); salary and work details (pay period, frequency, base/gross salary, overtime, bonuses, commissions, statutory payments such as sick and maternity/paternity leave, salary currency), credentials regarding right to work, tax code, emergency contact details (name, relation, phone number(s), email address(es), city, country, postcode), termination date and reason, probation end date, employment/system status, IP address and other unique identifiers, user tax declaration information, information the Customer chooses to collect, and any other information the user chooses to provide to PeopleWorks and its personnel.
With your explicit consent, our Mobile App may access and monitor your device location (including background access) to support timekeeping, attendance, location tracking, and distance calculations. Your employer (as Customer) will have access to these details; we do not share them otherwise. You may decline consent, in which case location will not be accessed.
If the Customer enables the optional Attendance Management feature, we process biometric device logs (e.g., employee or attendance IDs and timestamps for punch-ins/punch-outs) to calculate attendance and payroll per Customer rules.
If you request information about the Services, Site, or Mobile Apps, we may collect your name, email address, and phone number to respond to inquiries and provide support.
The Mobile App may request permission to use your device camera or photo storage to capture and upload images. Permissions are optional and can be revoked at the device level at any time.
PeopleWorks collects and processes data in accordance with Customer instructions and the applicable Master Subscription Agreement/Service Agreement. Customers control their platform instances and associated data; PeopleWorks acts as a processor and Customers act as controllers. For questions about specific platform settings or processing, please contact your organization’s administrator.
PeopleWorks retains data on behalf of Customers for as long as necessary to provide the Services and to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. System backups are maintained for continuity and each backup file may be retained for up to 3 days.
After a Customer terminates Services, an automated deletion process will permanently delete data in the next cycle. Once initiated, deletion cannot be reversed.
We may retain non-identifying metadata and statistical information about Service usage for business purposes. Some data may also reside on third-party providers’ servers per their retention policies; such data does not identify you.
Customers may retain personal information they control. For questions about a Customer’s retention or processing, please contact the Customer directly.
Data is hosted on Microsoft Azure Cloud in Central India (and related Azure regions as configured) with advanced security features and compliance such as ISO/IEC 27001. PeopleWorks’ headquarters is in India, from where we provide support.
We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. PeopleWorks maintains and monitors security policies and is certified under ISO/IEC 27001:2013. Access to personal data is limited to trained personnel who require it to fulfil their duties and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
In the event of a security incident affecting personal information processed on behalf of a Customer, we will act in accordance with our policies and applicable laws to notify the Customer and cooperate in remediation.
Our Services may contain links to external sites; we are not responsible for their operations or content.
Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal information; to object to certain processing; to receive information in a portable format; and to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. We may request additional information to verify and fulfil your request.
To update your information or exercise rights, contact us at info@peopleworks.in. Because of the nature of our Services, your employer or other third parties may also hold your information; please contact them per their privacy policies to update their records.
We may update this Policy from time to time. The most current version will be posted at https://www.peopledomain.co.in/privacy_policy.html . Unless otherwise agreed with a Customer, changes take effect as of the stated “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Services after such changes constitutes acceptance.
